Exercises for improved ankle balance and proprioception, part 1
In the first part of our two-part series, physical therapist Jessica Williamson showcases a series of exercises for improved ankle balance and proprioception. These exercises can be done from the comfort of home or during the workday, allowing you to improve your balance without having to take time out of your busy day.
If you have access to small handheld weights, a foam pad, and exercise cones, great! If not, simply replace with unopened large bottles of water, a folded towel, and small objects you can use in place of cones like books.
With easy visuals and guidance on keeping the best form to maximize the benefits, these are excellent at-home exercises while healing from an ankle injury.
You can follow these exercises up with those from part 2, located right here.
